Dear Academy Families,
Summer Dance Camp
This is presently being discussed, and any information will be made available during the performance weekend.
Pre-Professional Programme
Our Academy offers this two/three year programme to students having passed a major exam. There is an emphasis on strong technique and post-secondary dance career exploration, and could lead to the ISTD Associate Teacher’s Certificate in Tap and/or Modern. Any students currently at this required level in dance who aspire to this, would benefit from scheduling an appointment with Julie Izad to learn more, and to discuss classes which will benefit them. If you have any family members or friends off-coast who may be interested, they are welcome to approach us, as there is possibility of home-stay.
Looking Towards September
A tentative schedule for next year will be made available during the Performance Weekend. If you have concerns or queries regarding this, we need to hear from you soon to take them into consideration. Changes will not be made after June 30th, 2010 until we have had our September registration to assess enrolment. In-house registration will be September 9th through 11th.
Office Hours remain Monday through Thursday 3 – 6 pm, and Friday 2 – 5 pm (subject to change). The telephone answering machine is always available for leaving messages. A copy of this newsletter will be posted on our website … www.coastdance.com … should yours go astray.
Regular attendance is expected and every effort made to attend any extra classes or combined classes scheduled in order for the dancers to be comfortable with their presentations at the Theatre. It is imperative to check your emails preferably on a daily basis for the time being. If you are unsure of anything, please call.
